FITNESS
We believe health and fitness is a high priority and our facility is purpose-driven to meet this priority. What you will NOT find here are high-tec pin selectorized machines that work one major muscle while the rest of your body is relaxed. You will NOT find mirrors or cardio machines or your typical "social scene" that interferes with your workout.
Here we work and we work hard, but we also embrace training as intense play-time. We use a method of constantly varied, functional movement* exercises executed at high intensity that quickly and drastically increase all 10 general physical skills:
Cardio-respiratory endurance, strength, stamina, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, accuracy and balance.
What you will find here are tools that have been trusted for decades by professional athletes as well as our much-respected armed forces. Tools such as chin-up bars, barbells, plyometric boxes, medicine balls, climbing ropes and other interesting and/or heavy objects to constantly affect WHOLE-body conditioning in the ways our bodies are meant to function. These tools and exercises are proven and brutally effective in changing your overall health and discovering your body's true potential.
Our workouts, known as the "D.O." or Daily Objective, change daily and will be posted at the facility and sent via email to our members.
Together we will banish weakness, acknowledge and explore capability, strengthen our mind and spirit as well as our bodies and most importantly... have fun!
* Functional movement is any movement our bodies make in everything we do... to sit, to stand, to bend over to pick up our keys, to get the big box of Christmas decorations out of the attic, to carry our children... if we train our bodies in functional movement then we can do all things safely, strong and more effectively.
